In Game 1, the Braves came out with a vengance knocking the Rockies pitching for 15 runs on 17 hits in Colorado taking a
1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 would prove to go in the other direction as it was the Rockies this time dropping in 8 runs on 18 hits to even the series
1-1. Game 3 in Atlanta would be a quick game with the Rockies being the benifactor of a couple of 2 run home runs by Rafael Palmeiro and League MVP Jeff Kent. The Rockies took Game 3
5-3. In Game 4, the Braves would take serious advantage of 3 Colorado miscues by scoring 4 unearned runs including the game winner in the bottom of the 9th inning beating Colorado to tie the series at 2 with a
5-4 victory. Nothing really exciting happened in Game 5 but the Rockies did win 5-3 to send the series back to Colorado. The Padres/Rockies series will be played head to head Wednesday evening.
